Founded in 2003, Langford’s is a leading manufacturer and supplier of awardwinning premium meat products, based in Wales. Their high-quality products, agility in production and excellent customer service have helped it to build a stellar reputation as a reliable meat supplier and is highly valued by its customers.

The two founder-owners wanted a solution for the business, which enabled them to retire, without risking their life’s work to a competitor or to a short-term owner.

Kingsford acquired Langford’s in April 2025, alongside Literacy Capital. We formed a new parent company, Red Sky Food Group and Mark Chantler joined Langford’s and Red Sky as Executive Chairman.

The son of one of the founders, Josh Gethin, continues to run the business as Managing Director, with new access to the expertise and capital needed to continue its growth journey.

In the meantime, we are focussed on adding bolt-on acquisitions to Red Sky to build out a wider meat and protein group overtime.
